Description
Día de los Muertos – A Community Celebration of Life, Memory & Tradition
Join us November 1 & 2 in beautiful Basin Spring Park in historic Eureka Springs, Arkansas, for a heartfelt community celebration honoring the lives and memories of those we have loved and lost.
Community members are invited to create personal altars in remembrance of family, friends, and ancestors. Bring photographs, meaningful keepsakes, flowers, favorite foods, mementos, or other special items that celebrate the lives of those you wish to honor.
Throughout the park you’ll find colorful displays inspired by the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos, along with music, art, marigolds, butterflies, and a welcoming atmosphere for reflection, remembrance, and celebration.
A limited number of apples and oranges will be available to place on altars as traditional offerings symbolizing nourishment for the journey of loved ones.
Please Note:
This is an independently planned and produced community event. Organizers, volunteers, nor anyone affiliated with this event are responsible for altars or personal items left unattended or overnight. We encourage participants to take irreplaceable or valuable items home each evening. We also recommend using copies of precious photographs.
Whether you have celebrated Día de los Muertos for years or are experiencing it for the first time, everyone is welcome. Come remember, celebrate, and honor those whose love continues to shape our lives.
