If you've ever had nautical dreams of becoming master and commander of a ship finely crafted with your own hands, here's your chance. The Big Beaver Raft Race is your chance to put your creativity and skills to the test. Because this event is to be a challenge as well as a load of fun, the rafts must be constructed by means of some simple restrictions and guidelines. Each 2-4 person teams must build their vessel using empty plastic jugs, drums, inner tubes, Styrofoam...Vessels must be homemade and no motors or anything manufactured. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in race. There will also be prizes for best themed, best constructed raft and most unique design.
