The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow proudly presents writer-in-residence Sherri C. Perry as the featured reader at this month’s Poetluck; 6:30 pm on Thursday, November 21, at 515 Spring Street in Eureka Springs. Sherri will be reading from her book, "Letters to Cadence: Musings of a Modern Grandmother,” released in October 2016. Sherri C. Perry is also the author of "Venn," a collection of short stories, published by Mockingbird Lane Press in 2014, and "Slice," a collection of poetry in 2017. Her stories and poetry have been featured in numerous literary journals including eMerge, the online literary magazine of The Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow (emerge-writerscolony.org). She is currently working on a second collection of short stories, "Isosceles." In addition to the Writers’ Colony, Perry has been awarded writing fellowships at Dorland Mountain Arts Colony, California, and Wellspring House, Massachusetts. She holds a writing degree from the University of Houston and a Masters in English. Perry lives in Texas with her husband and when she’s not writing, she’s traveling the back roads of the 50 states, most recently by train. To learn more about Sherri, please visit https://sherricperry.com. Poetluck is the third Thursday of every month. It starts at 6:30 p.m. with a potluck dinner. Readings start at 7:15 p.m. and end by 8:45 p.m. Local writers may share their work for up to five minutes following the featured writer. Readings may be poems, prose, or songs. Order is chosen by random drawing. Poetluck is a supportive environment: the perfect setting to premier new work. Bring a dish to share and join us for an enjoyable evening.
