SUMMARY:Voices from Eureka's Silent City
DESCRIPTION:The Eureka Springs Historical Museum will host its 9th annual "Voices from Eureka's Silent City" cemetery walking tours on Thursday\, Friday and Saturday\, October 19th\, 20th\, and 21st\, and then again on Friday and Saturday\, October 27th and 28th. The living history tour this year will feature live actors in period costumes portraying some early citizens of Eureka Springs\, who were the subject of fascination to Robert Ripley\, of "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" fame. Such citizens include a "doctor" who "practiced" medicine in Eureka Springs\, the wife of an early stonemason\, and a woman who was integral in the early days of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Guided walking tours begin at 5:30 pm and leave every twenty minutes\, with the last tour at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. They may be purchased at the Great Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce\, any Cornerstone Bank location\, or the museum downtown at 95 S Main Street. There are no reserved tickets\, and tickets may also be purchased at the parking lot. There is no parking at the cemetery\, but free parking and shuttle service will be provided at the former Victoria Inn parking lot located at 4028 E. Van Buren in Eureka Springs. The event is a fundraising project for the Eureka Springs Historical Museum\, and sponsored by Cornerstone Bank\, Local Flavor Caf \, and Aquarius Taqueria.
