SUMMARY:Crazy Canvas Quilt: Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:ESHM Fundraiser Community Art Project\n\n\n\nAs a tribute to the historic "Crazy Quilt" tradition of the Ozarks\, and a compliment to the colorful May Festival of the Arts in Eureka Springs\, ESHM is seeking local artists to participate in a new community art project. Each invited artist will be given a 6 inch x 6 inch blank canvas for use in the project. Artists are encouraged to draw\, paint\, sew\, collage\, texture\, and embellish their canvas as a response to the theme "Eureka Springs   you fit here".\n\n\n\nThe opening reception shall take place at 4pm on Saturday\, May 2\, 2026 following the Artrageous Parade. All artist canvas works will be installed into a "Crazy Quilt" style grid display to be exhibited in May\, June\, and July 2026 at the Eureka Springs Historical Museum. Then on August 1\, 2026\, a public auction shall be held and each individual canvas sold.\n\nLocal artists who are interested in participating are encouraged to contact the museum at 479-253-9417 or email Robin at rbray@eshmuseum.org
